Control rearward amplification
Choose speed, steering, and space that keep the last trailer stable.
Rule to rememberSlow before curves, steer smoothly, and look far enough ahead to avoid sudden braking or direction changes.
Know where motion grows
A quick tractor movement is amplified toward the rear. The last trailer is most likely to roll or leave its lane.
Enter curves slowly
A posted speed may still be too fast for a long combination. Reduce speed before the curve and avoid braking hard inside it.
Buy time and space
Doubles and triples need more stopping room and cannot dodge hazards safely. Look far ahead and leave a larger gap.
