Use a repeatable inspection system
Complete the inspection in a stable order and make a safe go or no-go decision.

Start with purpose
The inspection finds conditions that can cause a crash or breakdown. It is a safety decision, not a memory performance or paperwork exercise.
Use one full path
Begin with the engine area, move through the cab and functional checks, then walk around the vehicle in a fixed direction. Add vehicle-specific systems.
Stop for a critical defect
Do not drive a vehicle whose condition prevents safe operation. Report the defect and use the applicable repair and release process.
