Lesson 01 · 4 min
Slow first and steer smoothly
Use load position, entry speed, and smooth steering to prevent a combination rollover.
Rule to rememberKeep cargo low and centered, slow before the turn, and avoid sudden steering; the last trailer amplifies quick movement.
Lower the rollover force
A higher or off-center load makes the rig easier to roll. Reduce speed before ramps, curves, and corners.
Steer gently
Rearward amplification makes a sudden lane change stronger at the rear trailer. Look far ahead so the correction can stay smooth.
Do not trust an empty rig
Lightly loaded combinations can have poor traction and lock wheels easily. Empty does not mean easy to stop or impossible to roll.
